Part I of My Favorite Kid Friendly Jersey Shore Restaurants talked about three of our favorite local places that we go to regularly. My family loves to sit outside when the weather is nice and enjoy a great meal. We also like to keep it pretty casual and stick to pretty basic things that the kiddos will enjoy.
So my 4 year old son bases his favorite restaurant choices off whether they are near train tracks and water (so he can see boats). Then secondly off of if they have food he likes. Kleins hits the mark on all three. We love to sit outside on the patio and watch the boats go by. The kids love when the train passes by and we even get a good view of the bridge going up and down. One of our favorite things to do on Sunday is come for brunch (One of our favorite brunch locations) because the spread is fantastic. We have also come for lunch and dinner and have always enjoyed it. The staff is extremely friendly and we have always had great service. The menu is very large and the seafood is awesome!
Also for adults only- I recently came for Happy Hour with a group of friends, and they have a really great happy hour at their outdoor bar. Really great food and drink specials!
We have been to Doughboys in Belmar several times for dinner, as well as attending several parties there. We love that it is a casual restaurant and is also BYOB. There are tons of different options for pizza and it is all really yummy. One of my favorite things about Doughboys though is their salads. They are awesome! They are huge, have tons of yummy ingredients, and are not that expensive! Their menu is huge including hot and cold subs, wings, as well as many traditional Italian entrees.
McGuilicuddies- Loch Arbor
McGuillicuddies in Loch Arbor has been a family favorite for years. As you can tell we love to sit outside and their patio is great with a beautiful view of Deal Lake. There is a very large bar area as well as tons of tables. The menu is very large and the food is consistently good. Some of our favorites are the salads, burgers, and seafood entrees. Also the drinks are fantastic, especially the ones made with fresh squeezed juice!
DelPonte’s Coal Fired Pizza- Bradley Beach
Growing up in the area, everybody knows about DelPonte’s Bakery in Bradley Beach. It’s been open 20 years and is definitely a local favorite. When I heard they had a pizza restaurant that was located behind it I knew we had to try it out. The restaurant is pretty small on the inside, but what we love the most is the outdoor area. There are tons of tables under their large awning that is even heated and can be used when the weather is still a little chilly. We love the pizza, and the salads are also excellent. It’s also one of my favorite places to get gelato in the area. It is so good! Plus added bonus you can see the train station from some of the outside tables, which is a bonus for my kiddos.
I hope you get a chance to try out our favorites!
